About The Twins


Maricela and Maritza Huerta are the Co-Founders of The Twins PR, a DC-based public relations firm focused on changing the way Latinos and minorities are portrayed in the media. Their services include media outreach, event planning, virtual event production and social media marketing. Since launching the company in 2017, The Twins PR has served several nonprofit, corporate and government organizations all across the United States. The sisters have over 20 years of combined communications experience.

The twins are from Southern California and the youngest of 10 siblings born to Mexican immigrant parents. Both sisters obtained Communication degrees from California State University, Fullerton and a Master's degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University.

Maricela has over 10 years of professional experience in the fields

of strategic communications and event planning throughout the country. 

Former employers include the U.S. Treasury Department, the Latino Leaders Network, Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), and most recently the Hillary for America Press Advance Team.

Most events featured high-level officials including mayors, member

of Congress, appointed officials, presidential candidates at the Democratic National Convention & Republican National Convention, including President Barack Obama and celebrities.


Maritza is an accomplished public relations professional with

comprehensive media relations experience, securing top tier

placements for clients across print, broadcast and online platforms.

She has led public affairs campaigns for foreign and domestic

clientele. She specializes in high-level communication strategy, including media relations, messaging, digital media, and marketing.
